Review: 2019.670 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The plot is really about the narrator realizing what he/she really wants and then acting on it. In the process, we learn all about what it’s like being bonded with one of these aliens. Being so much more than you were, and yet also being much less.
Con: The narrator is entirely ungrounded: we never learn name, age, gender or anything else. It’s hard to like him/her very much; the person seems incredibly selfish.
