Review: 2019.276 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The scene of Marnie walking through the forest trying to get her missing belly fat back is certainly unique.
Extra points for “bearsplaining.” Marnie is so PC that even when she confronts a talking bear, her first thought is to try to control how it’s allowed to speak.
Con: I found Marnie impossible to believe. She’s got essentially zero meaningful connections with other people, and she was very unhappy with her waistline. How are we supposed to believe, then, that she’d be so concerned about other people’s reactions that she’d try to undo the change?
