Pro: It’s very short.
Con: The whole concept is impossible to believe, but the real problem with this story is it exists only to deliver the message that colonialism is bad. Like most message fiction, it’s no fun to read, even if you agree with the message (which, in this case, I suspect 100% of readers will do).
