Review: 2019.204 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The story does a nice job of maintaining the suspense over the focus-character’s identity; we’re not really sure all the way to the last paragraph.
Con: It doesn’t really develop either of their characters, and there’s never any explanation for why the “father” robot wanted to create a “daughter” only to misuse her so.
There’s a jarring point-of-view error right at the end when the narrator pops into the mind of the detective.
