Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Review: 2019.148 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: It’s an interesting exploration of people’s desire to create a dream and then live it. It takes what we already see with groups like the Society for Creative Anachronism and with fans of constructed languages and goes one or two steps further.
Con: I can sort of see why the Free Orcs refuse to use guns, but I have trouble seeing why the Orcine—who are much more comfortable compromising with the real world—don’t use them.
I really didn’t like anyone in this story, the location was an awful place, and there’s not much of a plot either. The first 70% of it was long and tedious, although it picked up at the end.
