Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: The author describes the dystopia and its causes in great detail. Eloise really wanted to join the resistance, and in the end she finally does—at great cost to herself.

Con: The first 60% of the story is solid infodump, and it’s very heavy with a right-wing political message about the blessing of having your own weapons and the curse of the welfare state. The actual story is only the last 40% of the text.

In the story portion, Eloise finds it too easy to dispatch all the bad guys.
