Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: It makes Penny’s struggle to recover from her head injury real and poignant. The complications from her extreme reticence are interesting--to the point where she came out of the closet but almost no one noticed.

Con: It’s hard to see how the “tank” could be this fragile.

Nothing in the story requires the speculative element. She could just as easily have been a champion runner with an injury.
