Pro: A cute faux proposal which gradually becomes horrifying. Given the limits of the device, the argument has a terrible logic to it.

Con: Not really a story, of course. Worse, much of the narration is of the as-you-know Bob variety, and even admits to it.

The notion of a time machine that cares about whether flesh is living or not is very silly.
