Pro: From all the clues, we know that Madrigal's body will be possessed, but the nature of the spirit is something of a surprise. When we see him Jasper in the darkness, most of the pieces add together: the supernatural boon he sought was a handsome body. Mrs. Flynn's unexpected assistance at the end rounds things out. And the simultaneous disappearance of Jasper and Madrigal doesn't leave a loose end because Jasper will end up taking the blame. Well done!

Con: We don't really feel much for Annie. Even when Madrigal hugs her goodbye, we're not really moved.

  1. Good story, but a little more horror than I personally like.
