A young Nigerian man learns that he is clairvoyant--which opens up lots of temptation.

The story moves briskly along, and it makes its exotic location feel very real. The description of what it feels like to be clairvoyant is excellent.

It certainly avoids the cliche happy ending, but "and so I learned to be a happy thief and lived happily ever after" is a very unsatisfying ending.
