Rating: Not Rated No Speculative Element

There are other Eddie LaCrosse stories, and those might have some speculative element, but this one is simply a tale of knights in armor. It's a fine tale, but it's not SFF.

The Two Weddings of Bronwyn Hyatt, by Alex Bledsoe

Tor.com, May 6, 2015;  7,316 words
Rating: 3, Good, ordinary, story

Bronwyn is a Tufa, the Appalachian equivalent of the "fair folk" She's marrying a country preacher, and for some reason the local equivalent of the "little folk" are interested in it.

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: A fun read, well-written for the most part, with plenty of dramatic tension and a satisfying ending. Although it's part of a set of related stories, it stands on its own.

Con: Bronwyn's victory is too easy, and the little people's problem remains unresolved.
