★★★☆☆
(Alien Invasion) The poisonous alien plants have crowded out all other plants, and humanity is dying. Isabelle keeps a garden and is trying to keep her little brother alive, but it looks pretty grim. (2,211 words; Time: 07m)

Review: 2020.151 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: Isabella wants to find something to save Otto, but, beyond that, she wants something that might save humanity too. Instead, she learns what’s really happening, and she’s forced to decide whether to die a human or live as something else.
Con: Well, it’s certainly depressing, that’s for sure. The ending is a bit too abrupt, although we can guess what she chose.
