Review: 2020.136 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: In a very real sense, the story isn’t about the trip to Titan at all; it’s about Charlene coming to terms with her feelings about the grandmother who raised her and the husband and child she abandoned.
Con: The science is awful. For a mission like this, you’d send a robot, not a human. It’s not possible for a mission to unexpectedly arrive even a few days early, much less a year or so. Nor can a mission like this change trajectory at the last minute. Being hit by a big rock would vaporize the spacecraft before it would reroute it to Titan. Etc. etc. etc.
