Review: 2020.021 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The real strength of this story is the characters. Mav misses her family, lost to her since she ran off with her ex, but she doesn’t miss them enough to go crawling home. Rattlesnake is a runaway, and something of a selfish kid, but on some level they do care about Mav. Miguel is so serious he serves as comic relief,
And then there are those aliens.
Con: The story wanders around in time so much I kept getting confused as to what order key events occurred in.
It’s a little disappointing that the aliens turn out to be real after all, yet they don’t amount to anything.
