Review: 2019.627 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The nameless protagonist (whose gender we never learn) rather enjoys a solitary existence, but the house seems determined to pressure him/her into finding more people to be involved with. The heart of the story is the dialogue between the two, in which the senior argues that he/she isn’t really alone because the cat and even the trees from which the house was made are related to humans.
Con: I just can’t stop thinking that he/she needed to call customer support to find out how to get the house to stop nagging. The person was perfectly happy, and the house’s nagging resulted in him/her turning it off and then being unable to seek help when injured.
