Review: 2019.466 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The various revelations about the object from space are interesting, and the different stakes in each section are interesting as well. We go from unknown object to space craft to communicating with aliens to rescue mission.
Con: Kris is a classic Mary Sue. She’s a great student and a great researcher and a great manager and a great administrator and a great politician and a great TV show host. She’d have been a great astronaut if she weren’t too busy being a great wife and a great mother. She has no real problems that bother her for more than a paragraph or two.
