Review: 2019.539 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: The story about fixing up an old house has a very unexpected twist.
Con: I’m guessing this is an alternate history story set in a world where the South won the Civil War and still has slavery even in the 21st Century. That’s just a guess, though. The whole story seems to exist just for the element of surprise when the young couple buy some slaves. There’s no real plot nor character development.
