Review: 2019.405 (A Word for Authors)

Pro: The story is suitably creepy, and it takes a while to see that something is profoundly wrong with the risen boy. His death has only been interrupted, and the only question is how he’ll eventually be laid to rest.

From details in the story, we can guess that this takes place somewhere in Eastern Europe, probably in the last 1800s or early 1900s.

Con: There’s no protagonist, although arguably there is a plot. It’s a little unsatisfying that they end up killing him for superstitious reasons, even though we know that he’s not eager to stay here in the first place.
