(Post-Apocalypse) Gwinalle’s people expect her to settle down, but her mother’s dying words urged her to follow the “ghosts” in the old ruins. At least, that’s what she thinks they were. (6,559 words; Time: 21m)

Review: 2019.337 (A Word for Authors)
Pro: It’s a nice little story of Gwinalle puzzling out the secret of Yba’s last note, combining it with her mother’s notes, and pushing on into the ruins far enough to find the secret.
It’s also touching that Rann cares enough for her to follow her there, even though it’s very hard on him.
Con: The detailed descriptions of “harvesting” the flesh from a rotting body are just disgusting.
