Review: 2019.214 (A Word for Authors)

Pro: The best part of the story is watching how the unnamed couple gradually draw closer together, and the more they understand the dog’s behavior, the closer they get.

The twist at the end comes as a surprise, and yet somehow it fits; it’s clear there had to be a cost to all of this.

Reading about the awful inlaws in this story made me very, very grateful that Eric and I have such good relations with our families. But I still laughed at the giant toad.

Con: Given just how toxic his parents are, I’m surprised the marriage lasted this long—particularly given that he was so utterly unsupportive of his wife.

The wife seemed to figure out the reincarnation angle a little too easily.
