Review: 2019.187 (A Word for Authors)

Pro: Jane wants to better her lot and wants to give her baby a better life than she had. The arrival of the sorceress gives her a golden chance, even if it comes at a high cost.

Con: Jane doesn’t have a whole lot of agency in this story. The essential plot is that we learn what a hard life Jane had, then she gets this great gift from Timrys, and she becomes just as harsh a ruler as the people she replaced.
