Review: 2018.149 (A Word for Authors)

Pro: The account of how Nettie gambles with the men and wins the freedom of the possum-man makes for a good tale.

The behavior of the possum hissing at the men from up in the tree was just the right amount of comic relief.

Con: The way Billy effortlessly makes Nettie forget everything left me with the feeling they had far more power than she did and were just playing with her the whole time. That took all the fun out of her accomplishment.
