Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Review: 2018.495 (A Word for Authors)

Pro: The plot is about A Lei’s battle not just to save his life, but to defeat Steel Teeth and get promoted. In the process, he learns a new philosophy of life.

There’s plenty of excitement and tension in the story.

Con: There are a lot of elementary writing errors that detract. It suffers a lot from narrative intrusion, although the dialogue is decent. The author doesn’t control point of view, often jumping from character to character in the same paragraph. And the ending goes on way, way too long.

A few plot elements break suspension of disbelief, such as the director who offers to promote him if he’ll fight Steel Teeth himself and not call the police.
