Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: The account is both sad and horrifying. It may be some consolation to learn that 8-year-old Patty Reed survived the winter and lived to age 85.  Her father James, although banished from the party, actually reached California ahead of the snows, and led efforts that rescued the survivors.

Con: We already know the story, which is horrible enough as it is. The dinosaur doesn’t add anything to it.
