Pro: A “girl” (I’ll stick with this because it’s what the story uses) has the curse that her pleasure causes physical destruction around her, and the greatest destruction comes from the pleasure she gets from pain. She meets another girl in a bar, and when they fight, they realize they share the same power. Their fighting turns to lovemaking, which still includes pain. This escalates following an attempted rape until they destroy the whole world.

This partly seems to be an account of someone coming to terms with being into S&M, but it partly sounds like an account of an abusive relationship.

Con: It’s way too graphic and it goes on way too long. The self-mutilation scenes are particularly hard to bear. It's not clear what the attempted rape scene is all about, especially since the ending implies that maybe the two were murdered there and nothing really happened.

  1. Yeah, this was brutal. All about turning pain outward onto the world. I thought the attempted rape scene was vigilante justice which the girlfriend egged her into. She punches herself and the three guys' heads explode.
