Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: In terms of plot, it’s pretty much “Rhett deals with the doppelgรคnger.“ It’s interesting, has a little tension, gets resolved satisfactorily. There's a theme of discrimination, of course, contrasted with how Rhett treats the doppplegรคnger.
Rhett and (to a lesser degree) Sam come together as interesting characters.
It’s a nice taste of an interesting location and some interesting characters.
Con: And then it just ends. This feels like the intro to a very interesting novel, but, by itself, it’s a bit too slight.

This is part of Lila Bowen's The Shadow series. Apparently it's a side adventure that takes place during the third book. Interview with Bowen (aka Delilah S. Dawson) here:
