Pro: The dialogue is natural and the narration is smooth, with no infodumps.
It’s arguable that the story does have a plot: Marrow wants to tell Frank what happened to his wife after he left her.
Con: We end up knowing very little about either Marrow or Frank, nor do we learn what caused the anomalies. The narrator’s suicide at the end doesn’t seem to be foreshadowed at all.

I didn't think Marrow was about to commit suicide. To me it seems like he's feels free to go on the road now that he's found Frank and told him about his wife.
