Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: Cindy has a lot of potential, but it’s wasted in her town, and she’s not eager to go to the cities. Travelling through space with the aliens is exactly the sort of change she’s looking for. Even dumping Ralph for the three aliens is an upgrade.

She’s an awfully nice person, witness her rescue of the dog. She’ll make a pretty good ambassador.

Con: You’ve got to wonder why the aliens needed her to get hold of a book on literature. They could have looted a bookstore or library if they’d wanted to. Or contacted Cindy’s professor. It’s clear this is a great deal for Cindy (assuming they show up again) but it’s not clear what the alien’s get out of it.

  1. Enjoyed Cindy's endearing and down-to-earth voice as well as the references to world lit.
