Pro: This is the story of how Matthew got his act together and found a new purpose in life.
Con: It’s clearly just the start of a longer story, but the biggest problem is that I can’t suspend disbelief for the unselfconsciously bigoted people that Matthew’s going to be fighting. Yes, people like that existed in our past—in my own lifetime, even. No, I don’t expect to find them in the future; not without some really strong reason why we slid backwards.
