Pro: It does a nice job of evoking the bittersweetness of losing your highschool best friends when you go off to college.
Although there are hints the ghost is Jen, we don’t know it for sure until Petra leaves the overnight party alone.
Con: The ghost doesn’t have a very interesting message to deliver.

Very evocative of a time, time of life, and place. Somewhat reminiscent of my own mid 80's teenage years in Michigan -- although I never hitchhiked or picked up any hitchhikers (ghosts or otherwise)!
