Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: Great job of making the ship seem very real and very alien. The final decision of the captain is reasonable, if a bit disappointing in terms of action.

Con: Terrible job with the characters. Sasmita is the only one who’s not interchangeable, and we want to strangle her from her very first as-you-know-Bob lecture.

Rational it may be, but the ending it still a letdown.

  1. Oh dear. It just stopped.

The characters were like the idiots in movies who stick their faces into alien eggs and get killed, but without the payoff of some exciting action.

  2. It's as though you were reading a mystery story and then at one point the teen sleuths decide to call the police and let them handle it.
