Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: From the start, we’re sure Julian will get trapped in a nexus; the question is how, and then what will it be like? It’s genuinely fun--and tense--to watch it all unfold.
Con: We don’t really learn much of anything about Julian or Kenna, so we feel nothing about their misfortune.
At 2.7 million years per second, it would take about 8.5 days to reach the universe’s two-trillion-year life expectancy. By then, Julian should have suffocated or frozen to death.
Secret societies are very hard to believe.
