Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: This is a pre-apocalyptic story, telling how we failed to stop the alien fungus from space.

Con: It takes too long to get going. The sections narrated by Chloe are long and tedious.

The connection to the New Horizons space probe at Pluto is confusing, as is Immacolata's time-travelling. These things just seem thrown into the story and have no impact on the outcome.

  1. This didn't really shine for me either. The Pluto connection is Yuggoth.

    1. Thanks. My Lovecraft background is clearly incomplete. More accurately, I read nearly all of his work back in the late 1980s, but I don't pretend to remember all of it.
