Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: There’s excellent worldbuilding. The setting is also very cool. There’s plenty of action. And the kids are amusing.

Con: None of the characters is solid enough to inspire much feeling. Their actions seem to have been entirely futile, since the “S” were able to rescue their own unit without help. The message that people have to work together or else be assimilated is hammered in just a few times too many.
