Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
A 22,000-word infodump. What little story there is is utterly linear. Any challenge or conflict is resolved in the next paragraph or two, with the exception of the doomed romance. With no real conflict to define the characters, the romance falls flat, and there’s no feeling of loss at the end.
