Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: The writing is excellent, and the story a fine job of making all four characters real, with real, human problems.
We know at once that the girl is connected to the beast somehow, so there’s a great deal of tension as we wait for something to happen..
Con: It fails to deliver. Nothing happens except that there’s a small exchange of talent from three to one, and we don't even know which one.
The signaling that the girl isn’t human gets a little too heavy when she says “you humans.”
