Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: The best part of this story is the fight between the dragon and the vampire. Both use tactics that were adequately foreshadowed and provide a few surprises.
Con: The biggest problem with this story is that all the characters talk too much. All the action during the jewel heist is unsatisfying because at every turn, Char deals with all of her problems using a newly revealed ability. In the big fight scene, Brooke's dialogue seems unnatural because she's like the talking villain in a bad spy movie--she says things she has no reason to say, other than to inform the reader.
