There are other Eddie LaCrosse stories, and those might have some speculative element, but this one is simply a tale of knights in armor. It's a fine tale, but it's not SFF.

Pro: The author manages to make us really like Signe, in the short time we know her, such that we're horrified when she dies.

Con: Bryce is such a caricature that it's hard to believe he's real.
