Pro: What motivates the queen is fixing the unkindness to her son more than freeing her kingdom from stasis, as witness her last words, "Happy Birthday . . . finally."
Elegant that just as the deal itself had costs, breaking it had costs too. She wasn't entirely clear what she was getting into in the beginning, but she makes her exit with her eyes wide open.
Con: It's never clear what the dragon got out of it. What was the point of the deal from its perspective?
