Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: The broad concept is an interesting one; a soldier with a special gift, pushed beyond his limits. The mix of magic with technology is interesting.
Con: Disappointing that the story ends with suicide. The magic/technology idea is largely unexplained--it's possible to read the story and imagine that whenever the author says "magic" it really just means "talent in using the system." (The way skilled video game players seem to be wielding magical abilities.)
