Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: It's a pleasant, easy read. Ada's swan friend is mysterious and charming. The essential plot is how Ada Lovelace found her calling, and she settles on Babbage's machine, as we know she did in real life.

Con: The faeries contribute nothing to the story other than decoration.

Small nit: although the story says Ada was eight years old in April 1828, she was actually 12. By 1833 she's 17, which is correct.
