Moving but confusing

Pro: They save the world but they sacrifice each other. By the time they make that sacrifice, we believe that they really do love each other, so the sacrifice seems real.
Con: The connection between dragons, sirens, and humans is confusing. Sometimes humans seem to be part siren, sometimes part dragon, and sometimes something different entirely. And why would the sirens care what decision Neal makes? The weakest part of the whole story is when he says "that's the deal," because he seems to be in no position to bargain with anyone.
