Daedalus, by Niall Burke

(SF AI) The town's new computer system is working awfully well. The public have never been happier with their city government. Something is too good to be true. (2,142 words)

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Most of the story is told in narration. The dialogue is wooden. Reads more like the outline of a story than an actual story.

The idea that you could build entire buildings from the bodies of a few hundred homeless people is absurd. Likewise the idea that someone could design a computer virus for this purpose and expect it to work on the first try is silly.
