(High Fantasy) The usurped king lives in exile, guarded (and tortured) by an automaton--so people say. The truth seems to be a bit more comfortable than that though. (5,664 words; Time: 18m)

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: It's a fun tale with lots of laughs. The names appear to be humorous as well: Eris brings discord, Otto is a walking engine, and Fawkes is off to lead a revolution.
Con: The story is fun, but it's also lightweight. The places where it tries to get serious feel awkward. And Fawkes' victory over Otto seems to come too easily.
