Lightspeed Magazine, November 2015; 5,081 words
Rating: 3, Good, ordinary, story

SF story in present-day Seattle. Nicole and Andrew are star-crossed lovers, who meet in a bus accident. They marry, they divorce, and then things start to get strange.

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: For all the tangling of the time line, the story itself has a straightforward course. It even has a hopeful ending.

Con: It's odd that only they have a time machine. Andrew was an engineer, not a scientist. And if the "father's" body was never found, you'd think that would have been a mystery.

From the point Nicole finds the time machine, the rest of the story hold few surprises and no tension.
