Pro: A fun, exciting read from start to end. We sympathize with the Lieutenant's dilemma that every soldier he sends is one less to kill the next demons. He wants to keep the best for this fight, and yet he'd rather save the best for the future.
Con: We pretty much know that Folz is going to be a problem from the start. We have a little trouble believing that these guys don't simply follow orders. Their situation clearly isn't hopeless, and the logic of keeping the best people until the last should be clear to all.

I enjoyed this, and the best compliment I can give is that I didn't notice it was running fairly long. I actually think it could have run longer with some expansion on the characters in the squad to help illustrate the (spoiler).
