A "heisen implant" allows Detective O'Harren to explore alternate universes to help solve crimes in 1930s Chicago.

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro:  Nice device. Not too powerful, because she can only look at immediate consequences, but powerful enough to let her avoid dangerous situations. Nice ending--where apparently two people wanted to kill Johnny at the same time, so which one it was depends on which universe you were in.

Con: The technology doesn't fit 1930s Chicago at all. If they did have such technology, why would they have given it to one particular detective?
