Double Exposure, by Don Sakers

Analog Science Fiction and Fact, May 2015; ~900 words
Rating: 2, Not recommended

A government agent asks an intoxicated SF writer for help on a time-travel project. (short-short)

Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)

Pro: Short, sweet, and an interesting way for a time-travel device to fail.

Con: No animal tests? So desperate they needed advice from an SF author? Disbelief strains even for the short duration of the story. And the ending falls flat.
