Mini-Review (click to view--possible spoilers)
Pro: The residence is suitably creepy. the writing flows well. The final paragraphs, in which the narrator has shaken off uncertainty and now considers himself wholly a man, are strong.
Con: The supernatural element seems to be completely superfluous to the story. The odd doors and the knock in the night don't seem to ever amount to anything at all.
