Concept is reasonable, given that this is a Wild-Cards-Like tale. The fact that the heroine sacrifices her super power in order to save herself and her marriage makes for a satisfying ending.
Since she'd essentially given up her power anyway, the actual loss is small. Archer's power seems rather broad--able to silence her, not just move her through time.
